SWINE TECHNICIANS
(FARM PIGGERY, SENIOR STOCKSPERSON)

We are looking for experienced Swine Technicians (Senior Stockpersons) to join commercial piggery farms in Australia.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily piggery operations, ensuring animal health, welfare, and productivity
• Carry out tasks in breeding, farrowing, weaning, and growing/finishing units
• Monitor animal conditions and administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as required
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot feeding, ventilation, and waste management systems
• Assist in artificial insemination (AI) and reproductive management programs
• Maintain accurate livestock records, production data, and health reports
• Supervise and train junior staff, farmhands, and other team members as required
• Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity protocols, hygiene standards, and WHS regulations
• Identify and report issues promptly to farm management to maintain efficient operations

Strict Requirements:

• Minimum 28 years old
• Physically fit and able to perform farm duties
• At least 5 years of verifiable, consistent, hands-on piggery experience
• Strong knowledge of pig husbandry, breeding, nutrition, and animal health management
• Ability to identify, monitor, and address animal health issues promptly
• Experience operating farm machinery and equipment is an advantage
• Educational background: Trade certificate, diploma, or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or Veterinary Nursing is preferred
• Vocational or technical qualifications in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Livestock Management, or Veterinary Nursing are an advantage
  Certificate or diploma courses in Pig Farming, Animal Production, or Farm Management are highly desirable
• Overseas work experience preferred but not mandatory.
