SPECIALIST TURBOCHARGER CALIBRATION TECHNICIANS
Do you have strong hands-on experience with turbochargers and automotive diagnostics?

About the Role: (ANZSCO 323212)
You’ll be responsible for bench testing, calibrating, and fine-tuning turbochargers to ensure optimal performance and compliance with strict quality standards. This role suits applicants with a mechanical or automotive background, rather than laboratory experience, who are confident with computer-based calibration and diagnostic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bench test, balance, and calibrate turbochargers using specialized test rigs and software
• Perform inspections, measurements, and final adjustments to ensure manufacturer tolerances are met
• Interface sensors and calibration tools with desktop computers for live performance monitoring
• Diagnose issues related to airflow, boost pressure, and turbo response
• Maintain detailed test records and calibration reports
• Ensure all work meets company quality, safety, and performance standards
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve calibration procedures

Strict requirements:

• Age: 28 years old and above
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or mechanical repair environments
• Physically fit and detail-oriented, with strong focus on accuracy and precision
• Automotive trade background (mechanic, technician, or fitter/machinist preferred)
• Proven experience working with turbochargers — repair, assembly, or performance tuning
• Proficiency in computer-based diagnostics and using electronic calibration tools
• Good English communication skills for technical instructions and team coordination
• Vocational or college education (at least 1 year) is preferred for English test exemption (IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE). Otherwise, candidates will be required to take one of these recognized English language tests.
• Prior overseas or factory experience in turbocharger testing is an advantage
