OPPORTUNITIES IN AUSTRALIA BUILDING SPRAY PAINTERS (COMMERCIAL/RESIDENTIAL – PAINTING TRADES WORKER)

We’re looking for skilled Building Spray Painters (ANZSCO 332211) with hands-on experience in airless and high-volume spray applications for commercial building projects, covering both interior and exterior surfaces.

🛠️ Technical Expertise & Scope:

Airless & Conventional Spraying: Skilled in operating commercial-grade airless spray pumps, pressure pots, HVLP systems for walls, ceilings, facades, other interior & exterior building surfaces.
Commercial Building Surfaces: Experience applying protective, decorative coatings to concrete tilt-up panels, commercial facades, roofs, drywall, acoustic surfaces, anti-graffiti finishes, multi-storey buildings, including new construction, refurbishments, & commercial fit-outs.
Surface Preparation: Proficient in pressure washing, chemical & mechanical preparation, sanding, patching, gap filling, caulking, priming, & precision masking of commercial spaces.
Working at Heights: Experienced in safely operating EWPs, boom lifts, scissor lifts, mobile scaffolding for high-reach painting applications while following workplace safety standards.

⚠️ Important Work Experience Requirement: Must have hands-on painting experience in the building, residential, commercial, or construction sector, including new builds, refurbishments, fit-outs, or other building projects.

Experience limited to non-building industries such as standalone sandblasting, structural steel, industrial equipment, or general industrial painting, WILL NOT QUALIFY unless the applicant also has relevant building/construction painting experience.

STRICT REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY

🗣️ Age: 28 years old & above

🩺 Health: Must be medically fit for physical construction demands, working at heights, and wearing respirator/PPE equipment for extended periods.

💼 Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of extensive, verifiable, continuous experience in commercial building spray painting

🛠️ Technical Expertise:

Advanced surface preparation, airless spray unit maintenance/troubleshooting, structural steel/fire-retardant coating application, and two-pack (2K) protective coating systems

🗣️ Language Proficiency: Good English skills for reading Technical Data Sheets (TDS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and site safety plans

🎓 English Language Test (IELTS/PTE) Requirements:

Exempt: With at least one (1) year of vocational or college education (instruction conducted in English) are generally exempt
Required: Applicants without this level of education must take & pass an approved English language test.
